WASHINGTON (AP/KRON) — Biden announces former FDA head David Kessler as chief science officer for vaccine drive to stop spread of coronavirus.
Kessler is a professor of pediatrics and epidemiology and biostatistics at UCSF. He was also appointed as FDA Commissioner in the 90s by both President George H.W. Bush and President Bill Clinton.
Biden had added Kessler to his coronavirus task force back in November.
