Bicyclist killed in San Jose, traffic blocked

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- A bicyclist was hit by a driver and died on Monday near the I-880 off ramp in San Jose.

The San Jose Police Department said it happened on Bascom Ave around 10:18 a.m. The area is still closed to traffic as of 11:45 a.m.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver is cooperating, police said.

Motorcyclist killed in San Jose crash, traffic blocked

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- A motorcyclist died in a crash with a car in San Jose.

San Jose police responded to the crash in the area of Senter Rd and Capitol Expwy just after midnight on Thursday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just before 6 a.m., police tweeted they were still on the scene of the crash and ask morning commuters to take alternate routes.
