1 injured taken to hospital after shooting in Oakland

(KRON) -- One person is injured after a shooting Friday night, the Oakland Police Department confirmed. The shooting happened around 8:45 p.m. on the 9200 block of A Street.

OPD officers arrived at the scene and saw a victim with at least one gunshot wound. First responders took the unidentified victim to the hospital.

As of 11 p.m., the victim is listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation. Police said anyone with information is asked to contact the OPD Felony Assault Unit at 510-238-3426.

The 9200 block of A Street is approximately 1.5 miles east of the Oakland Coliseum. The A's did not play at home Friday night.

1 shot and killed during large house party in Sunnyvale, 1 injured

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (KRON) -- One person was shot at a large house party on Saturday night and died from the injuries, the Sunnyvale Police Department said.

Police said they responded to the 1400 block of Navarro Drive around 10:19 p.m. due to a music disturbance report. They estimated there were between 150-200 people at the party, many of them around the ages of 16-19 years old.

Shots were fired while police were on the scene, and officers said they found two adults who were shot. They were transported to a hospital in San Jose, where one of them died. The other victim is in surgery and expected to survive, according to police.

San Jose police investigate shooting, 1 injured

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- San Jose police said a person was shot and has a life threatening injury on Monday morning.

The shooting was reported at 3:04 a.m. in the area of Dubert Ln and Santee Dr.

Police did not release any further information, besides that the victim was male. The suspect and motive is unknown at this time.

Police investigate shooting at hotel near SFO, 1 injured

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) - Police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday night at the Grand Hyatt at SFO, according to officials.

SFO spokesperson Doug Yakel tells KRON4 that around 8 p.m. a call came in following a possible failed carjacking in front of the hotel.

A woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, no other details have been released as an investigation is underway.

The shooting has not impacted operations at SFO.
