(KRON) -- One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting in the City of Richmond Friday night, the Richmond Police Department confirmed to KRON4.
Richmond police responded to the 900 block of 23rd Street at 7:45 p.m. for a ShotSpotter notification. Officers found all three victims at the scene.
Police did not have information on the severity of the injuries suffered by the two victims who survived the shooting.
RPD continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
(KRON) -- One person is dead and another is being hospitalized following a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon near the Port of Oakland, according to police.
Around 4:45 p.m., officers responded to multiple reports of an individual who was shot in the 90 block of Linden Street. One victim was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Oakland police said.
Shortly after arriving to the scene, officers were informed of a second victim who transported themselves to a local hospital with at least one gunshot wound.
The victim at the scene was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead after succumbing to their injuries, police said. The second victim is being treated at a local hospital with their condition currently unknown.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPD's Homicide Section at 510-238-3821.
(KRON) -- A man is dead and another is in serious condition, but stable condition following a shooting Friday evening, according to Pittsburg police.
At 5:12 p.m., officers responded to the report of gunshots in the 2100 block of Crestview Lane. At the same time, a driver pulled into the Pittsburg Police Department parking lot and called out for officers to come to his car, police said.
The driver and passenger, both men, were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They received medical aid from officers before paramedics arrived, police said.
The driver, a 21-year-old from Antioch, was transported to a local hospital in serious, but stable condition. The passenger, a 24-year-old from Antioch, succumbed to his injuries, Pittsburg police said.
Officers who responded to the area of Crestview Lane located evidence from a shooting. Detectives are now investigating and actively working leads.

TAFT, Okla. (AP) — One person was killed and seven were injured in a shooting early Sunday at an outdoor festival in eastern Oklahoma, authorities said.
Two juveniles were among those shot at the Memorial Day event near Taft, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) southeast of Tulsa, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
Witnesses said an argument preceded the gunfire just after midnight, the agency said. No one has been arrested, it said.
About 1,500 people attended the event. Members of the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office were also in attendance and immediately began rendering aid, OSBI said.
The agency provided no other details including the conditions of those injured. The Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office referred the Associated Press to OSBI for more information. A bureau spokeswoman has not responded to the AP’s calls.
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KRON) -- Authorities responded to a collision that killed one driver and hospitalized another Friday night in Santa Rosa, police said in press release.
The collision involving a Jeep and a white Ford occurred on Corporate Center Parkway at Challenger Way.
The driver of the Jeep, a 51-year-old man, died at the scene. Witnesses said he was drinking alcohol in the parking lot before the crash.
The driver of the Ford, a 37-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital and is in serious but stable condition.
The man drove south in the northbound lanes of traffic and crashed into the woman's car going northbound head-on, according to police.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (BCN) -- A 50-year-old woman died early Sunday and another person suffered major injuries in a wrong-way crash on Interstate Highway 680, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision was reported shortly after 5 a.m., when a woman driving a Nissan sedan was headed northbound on southbound I-680 near Berryessa Road, the CHP said.
The Nissan hit an oncoming car head-on, and that car then veered off into another vehicle.
It's not known why the Nissan's driver, a resident of San Jose, was headed the wrong direction on the freeway, the CHP said. She died at the scene.
A person in the second car was taken to a hospital with major injuries. A motorist in the third car suffered minor injuries.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 5:39 a.m. and all southbound lanes were blocked.
As of 6:45 a.m., the lanes were still blocked, but motorists are using a slip lane at Berryessa to circumvent the crash, the CHP said.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- One person died in a car crash on Tuesday night in San Jose.
Police said three other people are in the hospital, two of which have life-threatening injuries from the collision that happened in the area of Gurdwara Ave and Carrera Ct around 10 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, the car struck a tree in the center median. Police began clearing the scene around 5:30 a.m.
By Bay City News Service - One person died and four other people suffered major injuries in a head-on crash early Sunday on State Route 84 in Sunol, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened on 84 east of Interstate Highway 680 shortly after 6 a.m., when a white Chevrolet
Tahoe headed westbound turned to the left and into the eastbound lane, hitting a black Dodge Charger.
It's not known why the man driving the Chevrolet turned left, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn said.
The drivers of both cars and three passengers riding in the Dodge were hospitalized.
One of the passengers, a child whose age was not available, died from their injuries, Hahn said. The four other people in the crash suffered major injuries.
Alcohol or drug use are not suspected to be factors in the collision, the CHP said.
The crash closed both directions of State Route 84 in both directions for about three hours.
The crash is still under investigation and any witnesses are asked to call the Dublin CHP office at (925) 828-0466.
OAKLAND (BCN) - Police are investigating after a man died and two women were injured early Sunday in a shooting in downtown Oakland.
Officers responded about 2:40 a.m. to the shooting in the 1900 block of Broadway and were told that victims with gunshot wounds had arrived at local hospitals, according to a release from Oakland police.
An Alameda man, whose name was not released pending notification of next of kin, arrived at a hospital but died of his injuries, police said.
Two women, one from Novato and the other from Modesto, also showed up at a hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. They were taken to another hospital and were in stable condition later Sunday morning, police said.

BRENTWOOD, Calif. (KRON) - One person died and two others were injured in a shooting Tuesday in Brentwood, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.
Around 4:20 p.m., deputies arrived in the area of the 10200 block of Brentwood Boulevard in unincorporated Brentwood following reports of a shooting.
Authorities found two injured victims and were taken to a hospital. A third victim was found and pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim's identities are not being released at this time.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A mass shooting in Savannah killed one person and left two others in critical condition.
According to the Savannah Police Department (SPD), there are eight total victims in Friday night's shooting. Arthur Milton, 20, was killed in the gunfire. Also a 13-year-old and an 18-month-old baby are both suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the shooting occurred near the Fred Wessels Home apartments on Avery Street. Shots rang out around 9 p.m. when a dark-colored or red car drove by the residence and fired into a crowd of people outside the home.
SPD said they have not identified any suspects and will continue interviewing witnesses.
Police Chief Roy Minter said a shooting occurred on the same street on Tuesday night but no witness came forward with details.
"Two days later we end up with a mass shooting at the same location," Minter said. Minter described the shooting as a "senseless" act of gun violence, similar to what is seen across the U.S.
An enhanced police presence will be seen throughout the weekend in the Hostess City.
"It's very disturbing especially when you see incidents like this that occur in the number of victims who are injured and especially when you're talking about an infant child," Minter said. Police say 60 bullet casings were recovered from the scene.
Mayor Van Johnson addressed media in a zoom call Saturday afternoon and called on residents to step up and help police identify those involved.
"If you know something say something because if not we'll be doing this again tomorrow night and I do not want to do this again tomorrow night," Johnson said. He added, "if you're sick and tired of it, then do something about it."
Johnson pleaded to residents with information to step forward because if they don't he says they're to blame as well. Johnson said in order to defuse and prevent gun violence, communities need interrupters and interveners to alert law enforcement proactively.

"Right now, you know, my main concern is these young people, children have been shot. So what do we do?" Adlerman Detric Leggett said. Leggett was on the scene Friday night talking to residents and the media.
"So right now I need answers and I need a good turn around I need all services, we need to pull all of our services to get all of our officers out to make sure we're doing something that's going to bring some people to justice behind this," Leggett added.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) - One person died and two others were injured after a driver crashed into an outdoor dining area in San Jose on Friday night, according to the police department.
Around 9:06 p.m., police responded to the area of the 500 block of W. Alma Avenue.
Police say the driver, who has been arrested on suspected alcohol influence, crashed into the area of Agave Sports Bar.
One of the victims was taken to a hospital to be treated but was later pronounced dead.
No other details have been released at this time.
Units are currently at the scene of a traffic incident in the 500 block of W Alma Ave.

SAN DIEGO -- Authorities say one person died and 10 others were pulled from rough surf during a rescue operation involving a suspected smuggling boat in La Jolla early Thursday.
At 5:30 a.m., San Diego lifeguards rushed to 300 Marine Street after getting a call from Border Patrol about multiple people in distress. A Border Patrol spokesperson said an agent spotted a panga heading north off the coast of Point Loma shortly after 5 a.m. and worked to interdict it.
When Border Patrol got to Marine Street, they saw multiple people in the water. Lifeguards dispatched a boat and rescued 10 people, some wearing life jackets, from the ocean.

"The conditions out there today were rough, we had 4- to 6-foot surf and we had some heavy currents," SDFD Marine Safety Captain Maureen Hodges said.
Lifeguards said 15 to 18 people were in the panga, which kept going north toward 700 Coast Blvd. It came to shore in an area called Wipeout Beach, where first responders found someone submerged in the water.
Lifeguards brought the person onto land, where life-saving efforts were unsuccessful, a fire-rescue department spokesperson said. Others on the boat made landfall on their own, according to Hodges.
Border Patrol agents took 15 people into custody. The agency determined the individuals were unlawfully present in the U.S. and took them to a Border Patrol station for processing, a spokesperson said.
Of the 10 people rescued from the water, eight were taken to four area hospitals, according to lifeguards. San Diego police, lifeguards, Harbor police, the U.S. Coast Guard and Border Patrol responded to the area.

Around 4:49 p.m., authorities arrived in the area of Market and Mason Streets to find three victims suffering gunshot wounds.
Officials provided medical attention, however, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

ANTIOCH, Calif. (KRON) -- One man is dead and another is expected to survive after a shooting in Antioch on Valentine's Day.
Police responded to the 2900 block of Enea Way just after 10 p.m. for "several gunshots" reported in the area. They said a 47-year-old man was found in a parked car on the street with at least one gunshot wound. Despite attempts to administer first aid, the man died at the scene.
A second man, identified as a 37-year-old Antioch resident, was also in the area with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to live, according to police.
Police have not identified a suspect yet, and did not give the identities of either victims. Investigators say they are still collecting and evaluating evidence.

DUBLIN, Calif. (BCN) - A man died and a woman was hospitalized after they were found collapsed Wednesday morning in the library at Fallon Middle School, Dublin police said.
Officers had gone to the school at 3601 Kohnen Way about 7 a.m. after it was reported that neither had returned home from their janitorial shift at the school on Tuesday.
Officers found their vehicle parked at the rear of the school and conducted a search of the campus, finding the 32-year-old man and 29-year-old woman in the library, both suffering from unknown medical issues, police said.
The pair were carried out to the school courtyard and the Alameda County Fire Department and ambulance crews were called to provide treatment, but the man was pronounced at the scene. The woman was hospitalized for treatment.
On entering the library, officers had noticed a chemical smell and called the county fire department's Hazardous Material Support Unit to determine if there was any danger.
"After an extensive search of the school, no hazardous chemicals or materials were located and the school was deemed safe for reentry," police said.
The names of the man and woman are not being released as the police investigation continues.
AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) --- 14 people were injured by gunfire following an incident at a nightclub in Aiken, Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to 7th Lougue just before 1 a.m.
Officials say they found several victims. A man, later identified as 30-year-old Craig Youmans of North Augusta, was also found unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. He died at the scene.
The other patients were taken to area hospitals for emergency treatment.
Investigators have determined that there were at least 3 suspects in a light color Chevy Tahoe that left the area after the shooting.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspects firing at least a rifle and a handgun.
