(KRON) – Excessive rainfall is expected to cause urban and small stream flooding in Northern California, including Alameda and Contra Costa counties, according to the National Weather Service.

For your safety, plan on wet roadways, allow extra travel time, leave extra space between vehicles, and stay indoors when thunder roars.
