BELMONT, Calif. (KRON) - Evacuations were issued Monday after a fire broke out in Belmont Canyon.
According to police, the fire started in the 2900 block of Alhambra Boulevard.
Evacuations were issued in San Juan Canyon from East Laurel Creek Rd. to Cipriani Boulevard.
Belmont Police Dept. tweeted about the evacuations on Monday afternoon at 4:17 p.m.
At last check, police said the fire was "consolidated" and crews are "doing well slowing progress."
